The Duke Law Bolch Judicial Institute will hold its National Townhall Meeting, “Developing a Useful Framework to Address Alcohol Abuse, Drug Addiction, and Anxiety/Depression Among Bench, Bar, and Related Professionals” at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, on February 28-March 1, 2019. According to the conference website, the event will convene experts and professionals to discuss mental health, substance use disorder issues, and well-being in the legal profession.
Patrick J. Kennedy, former U.S. Representative (D-RI), lead sponsor of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, founder of The Kennedy Forum, former Rhode Island Congressman, and former member of the President's Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis will deliver a keynote address Friday, March 1 at 8:15 a.m.
